Information We Collect
When you register as a Jamroom User, we ask for and store certain account information. Specifically, we require and store your--
- First name,
- Email address,
- Birthdate,
- Gender,
- Location (city, state, country, postal code).
In addition, we ask for but do not require your last name and a photo or icon. Also, we require and store certain information related to your musical preferences, viz., the instruments and genres you play, the genres you listen to.
This information is available, inter alia, on your personal profile page and is visible to any visitors to the site whether registered users or not.
As a registered user of the site and the owner of a Jamroom, you can create Events for your Jamroom. Events contain a date and time and an event description. They are visible to any registered Jamroom user.
If you use our "Tell A Friend" feature to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend's name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site.
We also keep track of your usage of the site, e. g., the times of your Jamroom sessions. We use statistical usage information to plan our server resources.
We do not store your IP address, browser type, or any other personal information beyond that listed above.
Use of Cookies
We store a persistent cookie on your computer. The cookie contains your login information including password. This feature simplifies login to the site and is intended for your convenience. If you do not wish to set this cookie on your computer, you may disable the cookie in your browser's settings.
We also use session ID cookies to indicate that you are online or jamming.
Third Parties
We don't share any of the above information with any third party. However, we may disclose information in response to a subpoena, court order, or other request for information that we believe in good faith we must honor in order to comply with applicable laws.
